Code Compliance
Various federal, state and local codes (NFPA, NEC, OSHA) require
commercial, industrial, and some residential buildings be equipped
with emergency lighting. These codes require testing of all
emergency lights at 30-day intervals for a minimum of 30
seconds. An annual 90
minute load test of all emergency lights is required annually.
Written records of all testing and inspections is kept
by the owner for inspection
by the authority having jurisdiction.
